The default lock screen picture is a cave rocks and beach scene but there are 4 other provided picture options built into windows 10.
Windows 10 lock screen timeout group policy registry.
In the power options dialog expand the display item and you ll see the new setting you added listed as console lock display off timeout.
You can try the new setting immediately by using windows l to lock the screen.
Click the change plan settings link for the selected plan.
For instance for 15 minutes set it to 900 or for 10 minutes set it to 600.
Select enabled and set the setting showing number of seconds to enable the screen saver to the number of seconds of inactivity after which you want the screen to lock.
Click on the apply button.
Use the windows key x keyboard shortcut to open the power user menu and select power options.
Note if the interactive logon.
Now in the right pane of the local group policy editor double click screen saver timeout.
Double click on the interactive logon.
Machine inactivity limit security policy setting is configured the device locks not only when inactive time exceeds the inactivity limit but also when the screensaver activates or when the display turns off because of power settings.
They can also toggle a switch to turn off get fun facts tips tricks and more on your lock screen.
On the group policy management screen locate the folder named group policy objects.
Choose the number of seconds between 1 and 599940.
Enter a name for your new policy.
The lowest value is 1 minute.
Expand that and you can then set the timeout for however many minutes you want.
However on windows 10 devices the console lock display timeout setting is set to the default 1 second.
Click on the start menu locate and open the group policy management tool.
Type number of seconds after which you want windows 10 to lock itself automatically.
In the edit plan settings window click the change advanced power settings link.
Is there a registry key i can set to turn the console lock display timeout setting off.
Or whatever it is on the device because i don t have the option to configure it in the gpp as seen here.
This policy setting allows you to control the locking time by using group policy.
