A window comparator will output a voltage between two selected voltage points and be off outside that range.
Window comparator circuit design.
In order to power the lm741s we apply 5vdc to v pin 7 and we connect v pin 4 to ground.
A window comparator is basically the inverting and the non inverting comparators above combined into a single comparator stage.
The window comparator detects input voltage levels that are within a specific band or window of voltages instead of indicating whether a voltage is greater or less than some preset or fixed voltage reference point.
So the first thing that should be done is powering of the chips.
Figure 5 depicts the proper operation of the window comparator.
The outputs of the each comparator in the lm339 is a open collector transistors tied together and connected to a led and resistor.
The modified window comparator circuit we will build with 2 lm741 op amp chips is shown below.
In order to power the lm741s we apply 5vdc to v pin 7 and we connect v pin 4 to ground.
The breadboard circuit of the circuit above is shown below.

So the first thing that should be done is powering of the chips.
Notice that when the input v in is between v h and v l the output goes to the pull up voltage v p.
